The WC Smith Excellence Awards were given to 15 employees across seven categories, including recognition for community and property management, maintenance, leasing, community and corporate administration.
The company celebrated veteran employees for their longevity: Cathy Hawkins, who has been with the company for 19 years, and Colin Bender, who has been an employee for 24 years.
We also cited several employees for going above and beyond in helping colleagues and residents manage through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eight WC Smith properties were recognized for their financial performance.
“This 19th Annual Property Management Awards program was obviously very different from our past events,” said WC Smith President John Ritz. “But this is a time of sacrifice and perseverance. And those qualities perhaps best define the way we, as a company, have responded to the challenges COVID has presented.”
