WC Smith was recognized Nov. 8 for our charitable giving and community engagement, receiving a 2019 Corporate Philanthropy Award from the Washington Business Journal.
The Business Journal organizes its awards by company size – large, mid-sized and small. WC Smith was among the honorees in the mid-sized companies. Fifty companies in total from around the Washington Metropolitan Area were recognized for their financial and volunteer philanthropic work.
WC Smith was also cited for being among the top mid-sized companies whose employees volunteer their time to corporate-related community service. WC Smith staff volunteer for a wide range of company-related activities, including the Oxon Run Community Improvement Day, our Summer Youth Employment Program and job-skills training at the Skyland Workforce Center.
