The newspaper organizes its awards by company size – large, mid-sized and small. WC Smith was among the honorees in the mid-sized companies. Forty companies in total from around the greater Washington area were recognized for their financial and volunteer philanthropic work.
WC Smith was also cited as 7th-ranked among the top mid-sized companies whose employees volunteer their time to corporate-related community service. Last year WC Smith staff volunteered for a wide range of company-related activities, including the weekly food distribution program at THEARC.
