WC Smith Names Dan Moreno as Chief Financial Officer
WC Smith welcomed Dan Moreno to the company as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Moreno most recently was the chief accounting officer for Foulger Pratt, a multidisciplinary real estate firm locally headquartered in Potomac, MD. In his 12 years at Foulger Pratt, Moreno performed various accounting roles, including serving as corporate controller. Dan graduated from the University of Maryland and is a CPA.
Moreno replaces Terry Beauford in the position, who made the decision to step back from the CFO role. She remains with WC Smith as Senior Vice President and Director of Partnership Services. She will manage partnership formation and performance.
“We’re very pleased to have Dan join the company,” said Chris Smith, WC Smith Chairman and CEO. “He brings considerable accounting experience in our fields, including development, construction and property management, as such will be able to hit the ground running.
“I also want to thank Terry for all her hard work. Throughout her 35 years with the company, she has made an invaluable and lasting impact on the financial operations enterprise-wide, and I’m grateful that we will continue to benefit from her skills and institutional knowledge.”
