Skyland Town Center Lands First Full-Service Restaurant

Fuji Steakhouse and Sushi has signed a lease to open at Skyland Town Center, joining several other dining establishment there that will bring new and diverse dining options to the neighborhoods surrounding the 18.5-acre, mixed-use development in the city’s Ward 7.

Occupying 1,500 square feet, the venue will be a full-service restaurant serving sushi and Japanese-style steak and other dishes. Fuji Steakhouse and Sushi will be located in The Crest at Skyland Town Center, WC Smith’s 263-unit residential property that opened in April.

Rappaport and WC Smith, the developers behind Skyland Town Center, in March announced that Roaming Rooster, Mezeh, Maizal Street Food, &Pizza and Tropical Smoothie Café will open at the site.

These new food establishments will join CVS, Skyland Nails and Spa, and Like That Barber, a neighborhood “institution” that has been serving families in Wards 7 and 8 for 30 years.  Chase Bank and CVS opened at Skyland this year.

Roaming Rooster is expected to open in late 2021. Fuji Steakhouse and the other restaurants, along with the Lidl grocery store and Starbucks, are eyeing 2022 openings.
