WC Smith welcomed spring in April with two events for our residents and neighbors.
Nearly 1,000 people attended Spring Fling, an annual event at THEARC/Building Bridges Across the River. Several of the resident nonprofit partners at THEARC joined local vendors and community organizations (including Martha’s Table, Institute for Justice and City Block) to offer games, food and activities for area families. A highlight of the day was an egg hunt for kids, who searched for and found 2000 plastic eggs stuffed with candy.
Across town, the site staff at our JETU/Fairway properties hosted an Easter Egg hunt for residents. Thanks for officers from DC’s Metropolitan Police Department who joined in the fun. And as a result, the officers invited resident families to attend the Dino Live Immersive Experience at no cost, and will keep the site team updated on upcoming events for residents.
