The Collective, WC Smith’s signature property in DC’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood, received the 2023 Collaboration Award from the DC Building Industry Association.
A project that spanned 20 years of development and construction, The Collective comprises three multifamily residential buildings with 1138 units and more than 100,000 square feet of amenity space.
To build The Collective, WC Smith made a considerable investment in the surrounding infrastructure to repurpose and create a new urban framework, including putting I and H Streets SE on the grid and completing a deep sewer relocation project.
The DCBIA award recognizes the WC Smith team and the many partners who contributed to the creation and success of The Collective.
