Project Description
Skyland Town Center, the first town center development in Southeast DC, is an 18-acre mixed-use development that will deliver 137,000 square-feet of retail and more than 400 residential units at completion.
Several components of this long-awaited project have delivered, creating a community of retail and residences that blends the rich history of Washington DC and the surrounding area. The Crest, a mixed-use property with 263 residential units and several retailers (including a CVS, Chase Bank, Roaming Rooster restaurant, and Like That Barbershop), opened in 2021. A separate retail block includes DC’s first drive-through Starbucks and first DC location for Lidl, the German supermarket chain and several dining establishments, opened in 2022. Future development plans call for a 75-unit all-affordable senior residential property and 126 for-sale townhomes. By combining shopping, dining, and a community-centered square, residents and visitors alike will find all their needs met.
