The Frontenac, a WC Smith-managed property, was the #1 ranked apartment communities nationwide in J Turner Research’s TALi awards, while another WCS property, 2800 Woodley was ranked #3. The award recognizes the top-100 communities with the highest TALi (Turner Apartment Loyalty Index) Survey Scores.
In addition, two Smith properties were among J Turner Research’s overall 2025 “Elite 1%” Power Ranking: 2701 Connecticut and Park Vista.
To be eligible for this ranking, a property had to register a minimum ORA™ score of 94 and have at least 20 online reviews. 1,312 properties were among the Elite 1%.
This is the ninth consecutive year that 2701 Connecticut made the list. Park Vista is the only affordable property in DC to make the list.
The Elite 1% ORA™ Power Ranking is an annual ranking developed by J Turner Research. Based on monthly online reputation research of more than 145,000 apartments across multiple review sites and Internet Listing Services (ILSs), J Turner assigns an independent Online Reputation Assessment Score (ORA™ Score) to each property, and this score determines a property’s rank.
