Rahsaan Bernard will be joining WC Smith as Chief Operating Officer, starting Jan. 5, 2026.
In his new position on the executive team, Rahsaan will manage external relationships for the WC Smith enterprise. This will include interacting with DC government officials, including the mayor’s office, DC Council, and DC government agencies.
Rahsaan will also work closely with the company’s business development team to assist efforts to build our acquisitions pipeline, attract equity investment and pursue joint venture partnerships.
Rahsaan is no stranger to WC Smith. Up until September, he was the president and CEO of Building Bridges Across the River, the nonprofit organization WCS Chairman Chris Smith founded to manage THEARC. Under his guidance, Building Bridges grew to become a leading resource for families living east of the Anacostia.
