Dupont Circle

Living In Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a neighborhood where residents come to stay and night owls come to explore. Located within the “Old City” of Washington, DC, the heart of this Northwest DC neighborhood is a traffic circle designed by architect Pierre Charles L’Enfant in the late 18th century 1800’s. Today, locals congregate around a large marble fountain in the center of the circle, relaxing on a park bench, listening to live music or challenging a friend to a game of chess.

Arrive via Metro at the center of the circle and branch out to stroll along streets lined with rowhouses in the Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque revival style and apartments for rent. More lively streets are home to numerous embassies, prestigious research institutions, private art galleries and unique shops. Come on a Sunday with your reusable bags in tow for one of the best farmer’s markets around.

Take a Walk

Take a walk in the park or lounge by the Dupont Circle Fountain on a summer day. When the weather is nice, the Dupont Circle Farmer’s Market features local DC musicians, farmers, and artisans. You can also enjoy weekly seasonal farmer’s markets in the heart of Dupont Circle. You can also browse Kramerbooks, grab brunch at Agora, or Cafe Dupont, or sip tea at Capital Teas if you want to spend the rest of your weekend out and about.
