Congratulations to WC Smith Chairman Chris Smith, who is the 2026 recipient of ULI-Washington’s 2026 Visionary Leadership Award. The award, ULI-W notes, “recognizes a long-standing leader whose professional and philanthropic efforts have helped shape a sustainable and transformative future for the National Capital Region.”
ULI noted the work Chris and the company have done to build and support communities throughout DC, particularly his founding of and longstanding commitment to Building Bridges Across the River and THEARC.
Also being recognized are DC Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Nina Albert and Senthil Sankaran, Managing Principal of the Amazon Housing Fund.
Chris will receive his honor at ULI’s Awards for Excellence Event in April.
